This Month in Premier Hospitality 7.9
Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality.
In this month’s issue we take a look at a significant refurbishment for The Montenotte Hotel; we preview the latest addition to the Harbour Hotels portfolio; and we tuck in at the Harrods Food Halls.
An innovative and highly successful €5m project to radically transform and extensively refurbish Cork’s long-established Montenotte Hotel to cater for an untapped niche in the market, is already bearing fruit with increased bookings from premium leisure and corporate guests. The hotel has been massively and comprehensively upgraded in virtually every area – from the bedrooms, to the public areas, the addition of new facilities and enhancement of the extensive landscaped grounds, as well as the addition of a major new covered terrace – with further improvements still ongoing.
Meanwhile, bringing a touch of luxury and glamour to Southampton’s Ocean Village Marina, Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa is a striking new waterfront venue. With its super-yacht inspired design, the hotel officially opened in November in 2017. The latest addition to the Harbour Hotels Group, the 85 bedroom hotel combines a stunning, contemporary interior design with the group’s award-winning restaurant and spa brands.
And finally, the first phase in the two-year transformation of London’s historic Harrods Food Halls is now open, following a project delivering a stunning new from-scratch bakery and coffee roastery, ‘Tea Tailor’, gourmet grocery and a new destination coffee bar. The roastery and bake hall is the first phase of ‘The Taste Revolution’ – a two-year restoration project that will transform Harrods’ Food Halls for the future. The redevelopment has been driven by Harrods’ Director of Food & Restaurants Alex Dower and his team of food experts, including 150 in-house chefs.
With all this and more it’s time to sit back and tuck into another helping of Premier Hospitality.
