This Month in Channel Islands Construction Focus – Issue 4.4
Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Construction: Channel Islands Construction Focus.
In this month’s issue we preview the Guernsey Design Awards; we take a look at a new showroom for Paul’s Motors; and we profile GMK Construction.
The shortlist for this year’s prestigious Guernsey Design Awards has been announced. Held biennially, the competition is developed in association with Norman Piette, the Environment Department and the Guernsey Society of Architects (GSA). The shortlist of 15 has been selected from 38 entries. The awards honour distinctive, original, inspirational and sustainable building design within the local built environment and includes awards for Residential New Builds, Residential Renovations/Extensions, Non-residential Builds, Small Projects and Heritage Projects.
Meanwhile, Paul’s Motors offers a range of new and used cars including new vehicles from the award winning Škoda range and various quality used cards that are pre-checked and prepared by the company’s experienced team. Having offered first class customer service and competitive prices on Guernsey for over 40 years, the company is now undergoing the construction of a new Škoda showroom to help them continue with their dedicated customer service. The new showroom is located on the former site of the St Peter Port Garage.
And finally, quality of work, reliability and timely completion is the ethos at the heart of every project undertaken by Jersey-based, GMK Construction. The company is led by chief executive Greg Kelly, who comes from a family renowned in Ireland for their construction experience. With over 14 years in the business and having 12 years post-qualification carpentry experience, Greg has developed not only in-depth construction skills, but also the ability to project manage. In this month’s edition, we speak to Greg to discuss the services provided by GMK Construction, as well as one of the company’s latest projects.
With all this and more, look no further than Channel Islands Construction Focus for the latest awe-inspiring developments that continue to shape the architectural landscape.
