This Month in Premier Retail 2-5
Welcome to Premier Retail – the premier construction tool for the retail industry.
In this month’s issue we preview the Retail Design Expo 2018; we check out Virgin Holidays’ v-room store concept; and we pop into the Welsh Rugby Union’s flagship store at Westgate Street.
From showcasing the world’s best visual merchandising projects, products and services, to identifying the next generation of talent in retail design and providing a platform for the industry’s leading lights, there’ll be something for everyone at Retail Design Expo (RDE). RDE, which takes place on 2-3 May at London Olympia, will be hosting more than 75 free conference sessions, as well as announcing the winners of the International VM Awards, Innovation and Trail Awards and the Retail Design World Student Awards. Alongside its extensive supplier exhibition, delegates will be able attend panel discussions, creative networking events and demonstrations at the show.
Meanwhile, holidaymakers in Cardiff and Norwich looking for their next getaway can get ‘holiday-ready’ thanks to a new Virgin Holidays retail experience. The v-room store concept was first unveiled in Cardiff in November 2017, becoming the first standalone Virgin Holidays travel store to open in Wales in the process. Following on from this successful debut, the concept arrived in Norwich in February 2018 with similarly positive results. Designed by YourStudio and delivered by Resolution Interiors, the interior resembles a luxurious airport lounge to provide a relaxing environment.
And finally, Welsh Rugby Union’s flagship store at Westgate Street, adjacent to Principality Stadium in Cardiff has undergone a transformation to bring it up to date with the modern demands of sports retail. Yorkshire-based shopper experience business The Shopper Agency was tasked with designing a space that could cope with large volumes of shoppers, but that would also appeal to the unique wants and needs of sports fans today.
With all this and much more inside, please join us as we explore the projects which continue to shape the retail sector.
