3 Interiors: World class fit-outs

Established in January 2010, 3 Interiors is a world class fit-out specialist. Jointly owned and managed by Phillip Moorhead, Stephen Purdy and Brian Stevenson, the company offers an unparalleled service; ready to deliver an elegant solution to any interior or refurbishment project, no matter the size.

Over the past eight years, 3 Interiors has developed an enviable portfolio of projects, from residential, commercial retail and hotels to bars, restaurants, private members clubs and more. Recently, 3 Interiors has been involved in the work on Nathalie, a new restaurant in London’s Hanover Square and the refurbishment of Tamarinds, the first Indian restaurant in the UK to win a Michelin star.

Both projects are fantastic examples of 3 Interiors’ skillset – showcasing a true attention to detail. Keen to find out a little more about the projects, Premier Hospitality recently caught up with 3 Interiors to take a look at the results.

Tamarind

Tamarind has recently re-opened its doors after a long-awaited re-build and refurbishment and offers customers the sensory joys of Indian cuisine, cast in a beautiful light. For this scheme, 3 Interiors were asked to deliver the refurbishment after completing previous work for the client.

Before the refurbishment took place the site housed a reception on the ground floor with the restaurant in the basement. The new concept now has the reception on the ground floor with a floating staircase connecting the basement and the first floor.

The newly designed space channels a modern-looking design with lots of light, with the lower ground floor being the star of the show thanks to a new open plan kitchen.

Ian said: “When entering the building you will notice the floating staircase that takes you to two places to eat; downstairs you have the open kitchen with a row of four Tandoors where you can watch the chefs cook and upstairs is a very airy space with a mirrored ceiling and bespoke timber floor.

“This project was for an existing client in the centre of Mayfair and so far, all of the feedback we have heard has been very positive.”

Nathalie

Restaurateur and designer Juan Santa Cruz has unveiled his third London restaurant – Nathalie. Described as a ‘revolutionary take-out spot,’ Nathalie opened in October 2018.

For this project, 3 Interiors were tasked with changing a bare shell development in Hanover Square into a High Deli. To achieve this goal they worked closely with the design team to create the final look, undertaking all facets of the fit out, from mechanical and electrical works, mezzanine floors and joinery to all high-end finishes.

Inside very modern surrounds, including Dalmatia marble sourced from Italy and black and white interiors, the ground floor is certainly a stand out feature. Marble has been applied to the walls and floor and book matched throughout, even to the front of the shelving – this combined with the stainless steel makes the site a very visual space.

Commenting on working on this project, Ian Robinson, Commercial Director at 3 Interiors said: “This project is very important to us. We enjoy carrying out high-end projects in the Mayfair area.”

Changing the face of London’s lunch scene, Juan – who with his company Santa Cruz Co is the mastermind behind glamorous Casa Cruz in Notting Hill and elegant Mayfair restaurant, Isabel – has brought his unique flair and epic art-deco vibe to the new eatery.

Customers are able to pick up their sustainable ‘Cruz box’ made from high-quality compostable packaging, either just by walking into the deli-style outlet or after ordering through their trailblazing customizing app.

“With Casa Cruz and Isabel we quickly established ourselves as the places to go for an intimate dinner in the capital. Nathalie is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time because when I worked on Wall Street I was always looking for a quick healthy lunch option that I could take back to the office. The app makes the process even easier,” says Juan.

“Intelligent food and very good coffee for busy people, with an element of design in every aspect.”

Cold-pressed juices, kombucha and a stunning bespoke coffee brand are available as well as a variety of Mediterranean dishes inspired by Casa Cruz and Isabel.
