Sign & Digital UK 2019

The buzz is mounting throughout the print, display, décor and sign industries for Sign & Digital UK 2019 (SDUK) – the must-attend event for the retail sector.

With leading brands planning to impress and delight visitors, the show returns to the Birmingham’s NEC from 2 to 4 April with nearly 200 exhibitors. The stage is set as the place to see product launches and new innovations – with experts on hand to demonstrate applications and share best practice.

This free-to-attend event will also give visitors the opportunity to learn from industry and business experts through a host of debates, keynotes and live demonstrations taking place across the three-day show.

In this current transformative climate, a day spent at SDUK offers visitors the opportunity to broaden their networks and keep on top of the latest innovations and trends, something which is crucial for any retail business looking to grow.

Jane Lewis, marketing manager for the show, said: “It has been a tumultuous year for a number of sectors, with retail being no exception. As markets and consumer attitudes continue to change, the key to staying ahead of the game is through innovation, growing your network and making connections, and we’re so pleased to be capturing this in our 2019 show, through our Face of Innovation theme. A day spent at Sign & Digital UK for design and production staff working across the retail sector would be an insightful, educational and uplifting look at innovations and prospects for their industry.”

What to expect from workshops & seminars

Incorporating the theme of The Face of Innovation, the 2019 show is set to be the most collaborative year yet. The new approach started with visitors being invited to shape the show, by asking the questions they’d most like to see answered on the Main Stage. These suggestions and feedback are being incorporated into the three-day education programme, so visitors can discover these insights tailored to their requests first hand.

Fresh interactive features will work in tandem with a fully-packed seminar programme, exploring topical and relevant issues from sustainability to personalisation and from display solutions to signage.

One not-to-miss event is this years’ Signmakers Workshop. Trainer Paul Hughes will be in the Sign Trade Pavilion constructing an entire shopfront over the course of the show, using and demonstrating some of the industry’s latest tips and techniques.

The Adobe, Corel and CADLink theatres will also be back with training in the latest software. Adobe will be introducing Premiere Rush CC, the company’s newest product which is the first cloud-based video editing tool.

Fresh for this year is the Digital Signage Zone – a dedicated area for visitors to meet with potential partners to help them expand their businesses into Digital Signage Solutions.

As previous years, seminars and workshops don’t require booking and are all free to attend. A full schedule can be found on the website, along with downloadable articles and guides from sign & digital explains.
