Four Seasons Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
Surrounded by the multicultural energy of Malaysia’s capital, the 65 storey Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur takes centre stage. Combining extraordinary dining, spacious accommodations and legendary Four Seasons service, the Hotel is the city’s focal point of success and style.
The building includes 209 hotel rooms and 27 residential apartments over three floors. These are to live in, and include one bedroom, two bedroom, three bedroom and duplex and penthouses. There are separate entries for the hotel and residential spaces; however the transitions between all spaces in the design are effortless.
Taking nearly five years to complete, the interior design of the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur’s interior design was created by Wilson Associates’ Singapore studio. PREMIER HOSPITALITY INTERNATIONAL spoke to Susan Isaac, Design Principal in Wilson Associates’ Singapore studio and the lead designer about the project:
“From the onset of the project, it was the goal of Four Seasons and the designers that the guests experience a sense of personalized comfort and belonging. We aimed to create a design that capitalized the multicultural energy of its urban setting while paying homage to Malaysia’s culture.”
The interiors throughout the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur are richly understated, soft, beautiful, and elegant. The spaces unfold into celebratory layers, forms, and colours that are reflections of the warmth of the Malaysian people and culture.
“The aesthetic throughout the residences is different; however the approach was within the same spirit of the hotel. The design is elegant and effortless, ensuring an easy transition between communal spaces and private residences thereby giving a sense of personalized extension to the individual apartments.
The hotel amenities include local cocktails made at the Bar Trigona, and Yun House as a go-to spot for authentic Chinese cuisine (both of which were designed by AB Concept), A poolside bar and grill, and outdoor pool, the serene spa, and a fitness centre further add beautiful icing on a magnificent tower within the Golden Triangle neighbourhood of Kuala Lumpur.”
Susan talked further about the finer details of working on the Four Seasons hotel:
“As with most projects, we strive to maintain balance between the vision and integrity of the design within the daily challenges on site; this is a given norm with any and every given project.”
We work within a creative parameter to interpret the client’s vision and we consider it such a privilege to be entrusted with that capability.
“We are honoured to have been recognized by the Property Guru Asia Property Awards as well as a 2019 StarProperty.my Award. The company is committed to furthering the definition of luxury through design allowing for unique and individualized experiences through spaces.”
