Epicures Glasgow

Written by Roma Publications

One of Glasgow’s most popular bistros continues to strive for the very best after undergoing an interior refurbishment to give the venue a brand new atmosphere for customers to experience.

Hyndland favourite Epicures underwent a major £250k makeover in May, with a mission to Make Epicures Great Again (M.E.G.A). Earlier this year the venue was acquired by entrepreneur Oli Norman and it is now part of the itison venues group, which also includes the recently relaunched Nick’s, west end favourite Brel, Sloans, Maggies, The Griffin and Jacques.

The makeover was designed to make the already beautiful space even better. Key new design features include the re-introduction of trees and the creation of an epic salad bar. The space now has a light and airy feel with a warm palette of colours that help to complement and enhance the food offering.

The new look also includes an event area and spaces for groups to meet, along with their own line-up of events to bring the community together at Hyndland’s Home.

The menu has also been revamped – introducing Epicures By Day & By Night. Epicures By Day covers an extensive offering for breakfast and lunch, including more egg dishes than you can throw a frying pan at! The epic shawarma is no doubt going to be a huge hit, with customers being able to select a choice of filling (lamb, chicken or roast spiced cauliflower) served in either a Pitta, Lebanese Flatbread or Lettuce Cup. All of these ‘posh kebabs’ are served with tahini, tzatziki and chilli sauces.

Moving into the evening guests can sample of delights of Epicures by Night. Standout dishes include Chargrilled Prawns, Chicken Schnitzel, Steak Burger, Fish Tea and Moules Frites.

Located within Glasgow’s West End, Epicures is in good company surrounded by great bars, shops and cultural attractions. Popular destinations in the area include the Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Park and Hunterian Art Gallery & Museum. The West End is also home to the University of Glasgow meaning Epicures is perfectly placed to take advantage of student footfall during term time.

Open seven days a week, Epicures serves breakfast from 8:30am. To find out more please visit
