Budapest’s band-new gem: Párisi Udvar Hotel

Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest, the brand new upper-upscale hotel in the capital, opened its doors to the public in June. Párisi Udvar, located in Ferenciek Square, is one of Budapest’s most well-known properties, which is also one of a kind in Europe as well.  A full-scale renovation program was undertaken by Párizs Property Kft five years ago, with the historic reconstruction carried out according to strict preservation rules involving restoration specialists and the best professionals.

The 100-room boutique hotel, which is the first Hyatt hotel in Hungary and the fourth property in Europe to join in ‘The Unbound Collection by Hyatt,’ will fascinate Hungarian and international guests with interior design solutions that are unique in the hospitality industry around the globe. As part of a collection of unique and independent properties, Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest, due to its central location, rich history and fascinating architecture, offers an ideal location for travellers eager to overcome clichés and explore the city.

Zuhair Awad and Sameer Hamdan, owners of Mellow Mood Hotels said: “Párizs Property Kft and Mellow Mood Hotels are excited to join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. We are very proud to open this renowned landmark building and to give it back to Budapest. Its rich history and stunning architecture will deliver memorable stays for the modern traveller. Although our group of companies have been developing dynamically since 1997, we feel this is the most precious fruit of our labour we can give back to the locals and to the tourists visiting Hungary. Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest marks a new era for tourism in Hungary; it’s a symbol for both the renaissance of the golden age of Budapest and the dynamic development of the city.”

Tamas Fazekas, General Manager of Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest said: “We are proud to open this remarkable and iconic property to travellers for an unforgettable experience. The hotel represents Hungary’s impressive architecture and craftsmanship; a place which residents and tourists have treasured for decades. We are looking forward to welcoming our guests and letting them discover the stories of the local and, possibly find their own new ones.”

110 upscale and spacious guestrooms, furnished according to international Hyatt standards are available for guests. The rooms include 18 luxurious suites, including two Royal Residencies. On the top floor the spacious Budapest and Paris Residences, with 130 and 290 sqm floor area respectively are furnished with sophisticated elegance and provide guests with a stunning view of the city for those looking for exclusive relaxation. Dining and Drinking

The magnificently renewed space of the iconic passage became home to the hotel’s restaurant, the Párisi Passage Café & Brasserie. By day the restaurant evokes the atmosphere of bustling cafes from the turn of the century, by everything transforming into a lively bar with piano music, where guests can relax with a glass or artisanal cocktail. The restaurant combines international gastronomy with the masterpieces of Hungarian cuisine.

Whistler Leather

Whistler Leather has its beginnings in the 1990s, when Ben de Groot and his team travelled the world to source the finest possible leathers and exotic materials. The range that has since emerged is the result of visits to hundreds of tanneries, and in-depth knowledge about the art of creating the world’s best leathers.

The company is established in Italy, in the heartland of the European leather trade, but works with specialist artisans and manufacturers throughout the world.

Spanning commercial, hospitality, residential and marine projects, Whistler Leather’s high-grade leathers have made their way into prestigious hotels, restaurants, super-yachts and homes. Thanks to one of the broadest selections on the market – from classic to distressed, embossed and printed – these products can meet the most demanding of briefs. Recently working with Blue Sky Hospitality, we supplied many of the leathers for the bars and restaurants at the Parisi Udvar Hotel in Budapest. Please visit our website to see other projects and our collection in full.
