Windward

Inspired by the east coast colonial style homes often seen in New England, Windward is a small, exclusive development of five detached three-bedroom three-bathroom family houses in Grouville, Jersey.

The stylish nod to Eastern seaboard American architecture includes external elevational Cement Plank cladding and wide front porches, offering maintenance-free living in an exceptional location.

Built by developers Cape Construction, all of the properties offer spacious accommodation, elegant French bathroom sanitaryware, hand built country style kitchens from England, eco-friendly electric heating and generous front and rear gardens.

The homes were constructed on the former site of a large house which was demolished.

Three of the properties are dormer bungalows, with the remainder being two storeys. Two of the homes are of timber frame construction, and three are built in blockwork, with all featuring aluminium framed windows and pitched tiled or slated roofs. Each house also has a garage.

Just 200 yards from the beach and designed and refined over the last year to reflect the needs of modern family life, the development is ideally located for schools, the Royal Golf Club, beach, restaurants, bus routes and a host of other amenities.

The development is also conveniently located minutes from the CO-OP, Morrison’s, Home Grown and Gorey Village. There’s even a medical and dental practice, hairdresser and a ‘corner shop’ nearby.

Two of the homes are completed, with the remainder being at an advanced stage of construction.

Tim Wysmuller, managing director of Cape Construction said: “One of the properties is already sold and we are getting lots of interest from buyers. I wish we could have built more, as the market is there – and a good location such as this is key.”

Cape Construction was established in 1996 with a vision of providing creative, well thought out developments with a high specification and European influence, using both innovative and traditional building methods. Their ethos is and always has been one of style and functionality.

All of the company’s previous developments are very recognisable and now form part of Jersey’s rich backdrop.

All finishes and fittings used on each home are far from standard, ensuring that each property is not only exceptional, but built to last.
