Kingsmere wins Pride in the Job Award

Surrounded by the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside and with easy access to London, Kingsmere is an award winning housing development from Taylor Wimpey, Bovis Homes, David Wilson Homes and Bellway Homes.

Located on the outskirts of Bicester, residents of Kingsmere really can enjoy the very best of both worlds, a village setting with generous recreational and sports facilities, new primary and secondary schools, village centre, health facilities, business park and hotel – all within easy reach of the vibrant and historic City of Oxford.

Taylor Wimpey is currently selling the three, four and five bedroom properties at Kingsmere with prices starting from £280,000. The homes are designed to suit today’s modern lifestyles and are being provided to cater for every type of homeowner.

As a marker of the development’s quality, site manager James Hart was awarded a prestigious Pride in the Job Award earlier this year.

The award, which is one of 68 won by Taylor Wimpey site managers around the UK, recognises James’ dedication to building high quality homes for new home buyers and ranks Kingsmere in the top three per cent of developments across the UK.

James Hart said: “This award recognises the hard work of the whole team at Kingsmere who all take great pride in ensuring that the homes we build are completed to the highest possible standards. I’m delighted to have reached this stage of the competition and to be recognised by the industry in this way.”

Darren McCormack, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire adds: “We are committed to maintaining the highest levels of quality and customer service and this has ensured that we continue to be an NHBC award winning house builder year after year. James’ Quality Award is thoroughly deserved and we’ll all be supporting him as he progresses through to the regional heats and hopefully to the grand final in London.”

Richard Hartshorn, Regional Director for NHBC, the UK’s leading standards setter and warranty provider for new UK homes, said, “Winning a Pride in the Job Award is a major achievement for any site manager. These people are at the top of their game, ensuring that the homes they help create are of the highest standards. Each of our award recipients can be truly proud of this accolade.

“For over three decades, Pride in the Job has been a foundation of NHBC’s work to improve housing standards, encouraging best practice on site. The homes these individuals have built are without doubt among the best in the UK.”
