With more than 32 years experience in the industry, Broadway Construction is a principle contractor operating across a range of sectors, from health, commercial industrial warehouse, education and new build schemes, to high-end residential projects and new build housing in the public sector.
Broadway Construction has many clients, who are integral to the company’s success, with names including Harrods, Nestlé, Eton College, GlaxoSmithKline, Riversmead Housing Association and Tefal, amongst others.
Broadway Construction has an exceptional track record in the delivery of high quality projects and works closely with clients to ensure that each scheme is completed to meet and exceed expectations. Most recently, the company was chosen to deliver a £2.2 million project in Chorleywood to construct ten new townhouses and a clubhouse and has just delivered a significant housing project in Loudwater.
The £1 million project in Loudwater comprised the demolition of an existing house and the construction of a new seven-bedroom property. The stunning new dwelling was constructed to the highest standards and was fitted with energy saving solar panels.
Work began on the project in February 2013 and reached completion in April 2014. Broadway Construction worked with Keith Simpson of Simpson McHugh Architects on the project.
Commenting on the Ladywood Close project, Steve Fry, Managing Director of Broadway Construction, said:
“The project took place on a small, quiet street in Loudwater. It was a restricted site so we had to really think outside of the box when it came to getting materials to the site, whilst at the same time remaining considerate to neighbours. The project certainly had its challenges, but was completed on programme.”
Stair specialist McWeeney Construction Ltd was responsible for the installation of stairs on the Ladywood Close project. The stairs are a significant feature of the property, helping to create the dwelling’s ‘wow’ factor.
McWeeney Construction Ltd Company Owner, John McWeeney, said:
“I was delighted to be involved with this project. I have worked with Broadway Construction previously and I am building a great working relationship with the contractor.”
Additional high profile works for Broadway Construction include The John Betts Primary School extension and high-end residential project, The Boat House.
The John Betts Primary School project was a £500,000 scheme designed to extend facilities at the school. The project comprised the construction of a new extension which included additional classrooms, washroom facilities, a library and an IT suite.
“This project saw Broadway Construction build a new extension to the existing school, complete with a sedum green roof. The project was completed in June 2013 and the feedback was fantastic. The Headmistress at the school commented that we were the best contractor that she had ever worked with.”
The Boat House was a high-end residential scheme for Olympic medallist Alan Pascoe. The £750,000 project saw the new boat house built on an existing property and incorporated a large slipway below the Thames, in addition to full living facilities on the first floor.
Repeat business and an exceptionally high standard of work has seen Broadway Construction become a leading name in the industry. With more projects in the pipeline, Broadway Construction continues to grow, forging new working relationships, whilst maintaining its links with existing clients.
“When looking at projects, we consider our previous construction experience on past projects, what experience we have in the business and whether we can deliver a project to our high standards. That is how we approach each job and it ensures that we achieve a high quality of service to our clients.”
