Wickhurst Green in Broadbridge Heath, Horsham is a brand new housing development currently under construction from Bovis Homes, Countryside and David Wilson Properties.
The development comprises 1,000 properties, built on a Greenfield site and range in size from two to five bedroom dwellings.
Work began on the development in 2013 and with construction continuing to make great progress the project is scheduled to reach completion in 2017. In addition to the creation of the new properties, Wickhurst Green will also incorporate a new school, a local community centre and a public house.
The houses at Wickhurst Green are being built utilising traditional methods of brick and block, with uPVC windows and a mix of slate and handmade tiles for roofing. Each of the properties includes front and rear gardens, whilst large green open spaces connect up the development.
Due to the large number of units being built at Wickhurst Green, the development is being constructed in 11 phases, with additional sub-phases to complete the work. To date, the development is approximately halfway through construction and is progressing very well.
With two years remaining on the project, the development has already proved successful with Bovis and Project Manager Steven Mortlock receiving an NHBC Pride in the Job Award. Speaking to Premier Construction about the recent win,

“I was involved in a project back in 2004 which picked up an NHBC Pride in the Job Award, but at the time I wasn’t the Project Manager on the scheme, so Wickhurst Green marks the first time that I have actually received an award myself. It is a great accolade and something which I have been working towards for many years.
“These awards don’t come around all that often, so it’s great when you are involved with the right site, at the right time, with the right people. This is what has happened here and it is great to be a part of a project like this.”
