Yorkshire-based Industrial barrier protection specialists A-SAFE have scooped a prestigious innovation design award for their brand new rack leg protector, the iFlex RackGuard.
The product, which attaches to facility racking and protects it from collisions from workplace vehicles and machinery, improves on what was already a world-leading design. A host of new innovations include compression hinges which ensure the rack leg is in a constant state of compression, rubber lugs which centralise the product to any rack leg and frictional grip points which improve overall clamp.
The iF Product Design Awards started in 1953 and is a renowned industry showcase for some of the world’s leading design brand innovators, with past winners including Nike, BMW and Bosch.
On top of this award, the iFlex RackGuard has also been shortlisted at the MHI Innovation Awards in the USA. The product has been selected for a six-strong final shortlist from over 90 applicants. The product is included in the shortlist for the ‘Best Innovation of an Existing Product’ award.
The iFlex RackGuard is designed, manufactured and distributed in-house by A-SAFE and has been independently tested and certified to industry standards EN 15 512 and FEM 10.2.02.
