Mace

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Mace was founded in 1990 by five enterprising construction professionals who believed that there was a better way to deliver for their clients and the communities in which they work.

Mace is an international consultancy and construction company, offering highly integrated services across the full property and infrastructure lifecycle.

The company’s experts in programme and project management, cost consultancy, construction delivery, and facilities management thrive within a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture, constantly striving to find better solutions to complex infrastructure and property challenges.

For Mace every day is an adventure. Every challenge is an opportunity to think and do differently. For 25 years the company’s adventurous spirit has driven them to do things better, to push for more, to improve the world, to move the industry forward.

This year Mace is determined to celebrate their achievements and look forward to the next 25 years. To mark this milestone in the company’s history, Mace are running a series of events and celebrations with staff, clients, partners and friends of the Mace family as they continue to look for better ways to respond to client needs.

Mace Chief Executive, Mark Reynolds, said:

“This is an important moment in time for us at Mace as we celebrate how far the company has come. We’re well on the way to meeting our 2020 business objectives and hitting our e £2bn turnover target, we’ve got a great team in place and are continuing to win significant commissions. I can’t wait to see what the next 25 years hold as we continue to expand our reach into new sectors and territories.”

As part of the company’s anniversary celebrations, Mace have officially launched the Mace baton, named The Adventurer, to visit their projects across the globe and raise vital funds for Mace Foundation which works to enhance and increase the support Mace offers to disadvantaged people and communities.

As one of three companies to have delivered the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Mace is echoing the famous torch relay where 8,000 people carried the torch 8,000 miles to symbolise the passing on of the Olympic spirit across the UK.

In emulating this time-honoured tradition, over the next 12 months The Adventurer will visit 25 countries and 250 Mace projects and will be handled by at least 2,500 people. It aims to complete its round-the-world trip having raised a target of £200,000 for Mace Foundation.

Throughout its history, the company had adhered to the same core values, which define all their operations, govern their relationships with colleagues and clients, and influence their decisions.
