Retail Design Expo 2016

Retail Design Expo 2016

Retail Design Expo, Retail Digital Signage Expo and RBTE are co-located shows that will provide retailers, brand owners, agencies and consultancies with a comprehensive range of new suppliers, solutions, education sessions and networking opportunities. The combined offering matches the most significant development in retail – the convergence of offline and online resources by featuring every aspect of retail technology, retail design, visual merchandising, branding and digital signage all in one place, at one time, under one roof.

A day, or even two days at Retail Design Expo, Retail Digital Signage Expo and RBTE will be the most productive time that any retailer, designer, marketer, visual merchandiser, architect and shopfitter can spend.

Your visit to Retail Design Expo, Retail Design Expo & RBTE will provide you with:

• More exhibitors: 650+ covering every aspect of the customer journey including the vital in-store experience;
• More conference sessions: 190+ offering thought leadership, trends and tips from leading retailers, marketers, eCommerce specialists, designers, architects, and customer experience experts;
• More networking with over 16,000 retail, design, marketing and IT industry colleagues from the UK and around the globe;
• Many more ideas, solutions and inspiration that will help you to win more customers and grow your business

Retail Design Expo is Europe’s leading annual event for innovation and inspiration in retail design, marketing, visual merchandising, architecture and shopfitting from around the world. Following its hugely successful launch in March 2015, it is doubling in size for 2016.

Retail Design Expo is overseen by Legend Exhibitions Limited, a company with many years’ experience of delivering exhibitions, conferences, events, summits and magazines relevant for their industries. Legend is highly skilled and delivers the right concepts to ensure the very best possible products for all participants.

The management team has launched and run over 70 exhibitions in the UK and overseas ranging from Retail Business Technology Expo, Retail Asia Expo, The Restaurant Show, Destinations and Bathrooms & Kitchens Expo, Top Drawer, Publishing Expo and The Hospitality Technology Show.

Retail Design Expo, alongside the co-located RBTE and Retail Digital Signage Expo, is the must-attend event for retailers, designers, marketers, visual merchandisers, architects and shop-fitters who need to find new ideas or suppliers, to benchmark their existing practices, to learn from the headline-grabbing speakers in the extensive conference and seminar programme, or to learn what lies ahead from leading trendsetters. Retail Design Expo will deliver on all counts.

This year’s event at Olympia will run across Wednesday 9th March and Thursday 10th March, from 9:30am to 5pm on both days.

Retail Design Expo 2016

Retail Design Expo brings more than 200 exhibitors from all branches of retail design, marketing and visual merchandising. There are lighting designers and manufacturers, design consultancies, surfaces and materials suppliers, flooring companies, POP designers and manufacturers, visual merchandising companies, display and fixtures manufacturers, furniture suppliers, digital and non-digital signage companies, shop-fitters, trends consultancies – everything retailers and brand marketers could possibly want under one roof.

Large and small companies will be exhibiting, some that will be familiar but many that are new. And they don’t just come from the UK. Retail Design Expo has a long list of exhibitors from Italy, Canada, Germany, Ukraine, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Spain, Austria, Holland, Republic of Ireland, Sweden, the USA and beyond.

What is more, many exhibitors are launching exciting new products and services at Retail Design Expo. Visitors will be the first to witness a raft of new innovations, news ideas, new materials, structures, fixtures and fittings.

Retail Design Expo is home to a number of networking spaces including the retail design visitors lounge and visual merchandising visitors lounge. There is a coffee shop, restaurant, bistro and bar as well as champagne bars for those with something to celebrate.

Last year’s event was extremely successful and well received in the industry, hosting over 150 exhibitors and over 12,000 visitors, including 1500 international visitors.

David Dalziel, Group Creative Director at Dalziel & Pow, leading retail design specialists said:

“The retail design industry has lacked a recognised forum for many years now. Retail Design Expo offers just such a forum… a chance to share ideas, trends and opinions with our competitors and collaborators.”

Retail Design Expo is the place for people in the retail design and marketing industry to meet, find new ideas, solutions and inspiration, to learn and network.

Annie Swift, event director, Retail Design Expo, said:

“There is huge support from the industry, media and trade associations. Our retail design steering panel, including many of the industry’s top names, advise us on all aspects of the event including who should be exhibiting, who should be speaking and what special features should be included.

“I am delighted to be involved with such a successful and inspiring event.”

Make the most of a trip to Retail Design Expo and gain inspiration by visiting the newest stores to hit the streets of London. As a major retail capital, London enjoys a high level of spending power with the sector holding strong and showing unprecedented growth.

The West End is the heart of the city’s shopping world and includes the most famous shopping streets, particularly Covent Garden with its mix of cool chains and unique boutiques, Oxford Street, with its diversity of world-famous department stores, and Bond Street, with its designer collections. Regent Street rivals the Champs-Elysées and Fifth Avenue as a world-class place to shop. And don’t forget the city’s wonderful markets, where a variety of food and goods are on offer.

The panel has chosen its top 18 innovations that they believe will set the industry alight. All 18 will be on show at Retail Design Expo 2016.

“The seminars given by industry representatives were insightful and inspiring. The scale of the show was vast in comparison to others I have attended.” – Lorraine Sandy, Head of Visual, Vivienne Westwood

“Wow what a show. I was blown away. The exhibitors catered for what I was there for. The seminars were exceptional.” – Arry Georgiou, Creative Manager, F&F Tesco, UK

“I was positively impressed with the excellence of the show. There was a well-balanced mix of insights and practical solutions plus a great portfolio of exhibitors.” – Edoardo Brutti, Retail & Trade Marketing Manager, Wrangler EMEA

“The exhibitors offered so much to engage with, and it was great to see the big names in retail design alongside more niche suppliers and service teams.” – Rebecca Floyd, Junior Architect, Hackett London

“I thought the event was brilliant. It’s the first one I have been to on Retail and VM. It was really well planned out in layout so you could clearly navigate which sections you needed to go to. The seminars all seemed great too. I only managed to go to a couple but the omnichannel one was really good. Next year I will try and come both days – so much to get around.” – Jess Willams, Studio manager and Lead Designer, Ghd
“Well done Retail Design Expo…what a great show!! The UK has really lacked an exhibition to service the Retail Design industry with a good exhibition over the years and you really nailed it!! Lots of great seminars sharing interesting and forward thinking insights. I loved that there was ‘VM Live’ in support of all tiers of this discipline, as well as the more formal theatres where the industry minds shared views, ideas and innovation. I attended other international retail design exhibitions this year and this one was by far the best. Looking forward to next year!” – Sarah Jane Shewring, Visual Merchandising Department Manager Creative Eye, Chalhoub Group, Dubai
