Machinery dealer Lister Wilder has completed a substantial new deal with plant hire company Rabbit & Dowling to supply a fleet of five and eight tonne Kubota excavators, all fitted with the class leading emission compliant Kubota engine.

Rabbit & Dowling has been providing domestic and commercial plant equipment to the Worthing and Brighton area for over 19 years. Following a significant increase in customer demand, the deal will see Lister Wilder supply 4 x KX080-4 (eight tonne) and 2 x U48-4 (five tonne) excavators.

The KX (standard) and U Series (zero tail swing) excavators from Kubota are some of the most reliable and durable machines on the market. Each machine utilises Kubota’s latest in house engine technology that not only meets current emission regulations, but also offers maximum fuel efficiency, minimal noise and vibration as standard.

Steve Charman, Managing Director of Rabbit & Dowling, said: “We have utilised Kubota’s mini-excavators for several years, but this is the first time we have ventured with their larger machinery due to a significant demand from the commercial market for five and eight tonne machines.

“It was a simple choice to make as not only is the Kubota brand synonymous with performance and reliability, but also the efficiency and low running costs of its machinery is of huge benefit to our customers. By working closely with Lister Wilder, we are now in a better position to meet the requirements of those customers.”

Paul Mahoney, Area Sales Manager (Plant Division) at Lister Wilder, said: “It’s great to see our long standing relationship with Rabbit & Dowling continue to go from strength to strength. Kubota is universally known and respected for their reliability, durability and appetite for hard work, and Rabbit & Dowling can have the peace of mind in knowing that the equipment provided is the best performing in the marketplace.”
