This Month in Premier Hospitality 6.4

Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality.

In this month’s issue we showcase the recently refurbished Quo Vardis; we unveil the new-look Bluebird; and we delve into FOX.

Located within a historic Grade I listed building, Soho restaurant and members club Quo Vadis, known as ‘The Great Dame of Dean Street’, opened recently following a substantial and stunning refurbishment ahead of its 90th birthday. The venue, which has been under the leadership of restaurateurs Sam and Eddie Hart (proprietors of Barrafina and formerly, Fino) since 2008 and with partner Jeremy Lee at the helm of the kitchen since 2012, closed briefly in August. The reaction to the new interior has been very positive – members love the new look and the new members’ dining room is fully booked for lunch and evening.

Meanwhile, a project to provide a new interior for Bluebird in King’s Road, Chelsea, has been completed. The elegant interior which pays homage to Bluebird’s location in the former garage built for the Bluebird Motor Company in 1923, was designed by Sagrada (designers of Sartoria and the Arts Club). The refurbishment increases the number of covers in the bar and restaurant from 230 to 248, with painted timber screens with layered motifs creating areas of intimacy. Bluebird also continues to offer four private dining rooms as well as a dedicated events space.

And finally, just launched following an impressive £1m fit out, FOX, the first new restaurant by FOX Restaurant Group Ltd, has opened in exclusive Hale Barns, Cheshire. The new restaurant takes pride of place in a brand new retail development called The Square, on Hale Road, and is the only restaurant in the complex, which also includes high-end supermarket Booths, as well four other retail outlets and 24 luxurious apartments.

Designed by renowned London design team Alexander Waterworth Interiors (AWI), who have designed schemes in London, Paris and New York, the brand new 4,000 sq ft restaurant can accommodate 120 guests from breakfast until late, 7 days a week.

With all this and more, it’s time to sit back and tuck into another helping of Premier Hospitality.

Enjoy!

Alex
