Hirebase Tool and Equipment Hire has recently purchased 50 new Kubota machines to add to its ever-growing fleet, as a result of high demand for the K008-3 micro excavator.
In addition to this, Hirebase has furthered its Kubota commitment by investing in a number of 1.5 tonne machines, to serve its customers who are tackling more demanding jobs and require more operational flexibility from their machines.
The company, which is situated within Buildbase at over 130 locations, has seen customer demand significantly increase in recent times. The 0.8 tonne micro-excavator is one of the most popular machines amongst the hire company’s customers, as it’s perfect for works in domestic and roadside applications where space is at a premium.
Adrian Watts, Managing Director at Hirebase, commented: “The main reason we purchased the micro-excavators was because of the customer demand for the K008-3 machines and Kubota having the supply to facilitate this. The model is a massive favourite of our customer base and as far as we’re concerned they’re the best machines currently on the market for their particular weight category.
“Our fleet is growing and this is credit to the quality of the machines Kubota produces. Now that we hold so many of the K008-3s, it’s enabled us to gain business from other hire companies as well as our existing and potential customers. The machine is compact; it excavates far above its weight and, in my opinion, the performance is head and shoulders above the competition.
“Our Asset Manager is regularly in correspondence with the guys at Kubota and, in terms of aftersales and backup support, they are superb. We’ve got a fantastic working relationship with Kubota and the future is most definitely looking bright for the role of Kubota machines in our business.”
The K008-3 is one of the most compact and versatile machines Kubota offers, which has an adjustable width track frame that can be reduced to just 700mm, enabling the excavator passage through narrow spaces, such as doorways and gates.
