Coppa Club

Having opened the doors to its first site in 2015, Coppa Club has enjoyed rapid success. The all-day, multi-purpose venues offer a little something for everybody – whether it’s meeting a new client for work or dinner with friends.

The latest Coppa Club site opened in Henley-on-Thames in March 2018, becoming the brand’s fifth location in the process. This new destination has all the hallmarks of Coppa Club, including a 60-cover restaurant, a bar and a snug area suitable for working or relaxation. There is also an external terrace with heaters and lighting that looks set to be a popular hangout in the late summer months. Coppa Club Henley-on-Thames is situated in the town centre and is within walking distance of the river.

Coppa Club Chairman Hugh Osmond explained the new venue:

“Coppa Club is the club without the fee, where anyone who likes what we do can be a member. In our Sonning-on-Thames venue, our regulars use us for whatever they want, whenever they want. We love our diners, but we also love our coffee drinkers, our healthy (and not so healthy) breakfasters, our midmorning crowd, our local drinkers, our cocktail lovers, and all the rest who just come and hang out at any time of day. And we especially love all our guest who come to us in Sonning from Henley and we wanted to offer them a choice.

“So now we hope to build a new Coppa Club community in the centre of Henley, next to its iconic cinema. Look for Coppa Club’s back door when you have finished watching your movie or just as a smarter way in from the Waitrose car park. We thank everyone who asked us to come to the historic town of Henley-on-Thames and we will try our hardest to make the Coppa Club experience every bit as good as Sonning.”

For years, only members’ clubs have offered space for guests to stay all day and transition from work to play, but Coppa Club aims to change all that. Relaxed, welcoming and informal, Coppa Club aims to offer everything guests might expect from a members’ club at the new Henley-on-Thames site: all day dining; a great bar serving great wines and cocktails; comfy sofas to relax in, and a lounge area with Wi-Fi and plenty of sockets, perfect for meetings or just for settling in with your laptop.

The high quality yet simple and relaxed menu balances healthy options for every day with more indulgent treats. They start mid-morning with eggs, juices, pastries and freshly-roasted coffee. The all-day menu offers small plates, sharing options and nibbles, plus a choice of fresh pastas, sourdough pizzas, healthy salads, and carefully sourced steaks, chicken and fish cooked on the grill. On weekends they offer brunch from 9:30am including the obligatory smashed avocado and eggs on sourdough and pancakes.

Alongside this new Henley-on-Thames site, Coppa Club operates venues at Sonning-on-Thames, Tower Bridge and St. Paul’s. A further site in Maidenhead will open in summer 2018. To find out more, please visit www.coppaclub.co.uk.
