3 AA Rosette winning restaurant La Belle Époque at Sofitel London Heathrow has appointed Mark Lawton as Head Chef, where he will take over from Mayur Nagarale.
With over 10 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Mark has a wealth of experience within leading UK hotels and restaurants, including Head Chef positions at the 5* Macdonald Randolph Hotel in Oxford, the 2 AA Rosette The Leconfield Restaurant in Chichester, the 2 AA Rosette The Mandolay Hotel in Guildford and the AA Rosette Casa Hotel in Farnborough.
Ryan Nicholls, General Manager at Sofitel London Heathrow, commented on the appointment: “We are delighted that Mark will be taking the reins of our 3 AA Rosette La Belle Époque. Mark’s impressive background, technical skill, energetic approach and unique flair fits well within the La Belle Époque atmosphere, and we are sure that he will further enhance the La Belle Époque offering and build upon the foundation that Mayur Nagarale has set for the restaurant so far.”
Mark Lawton commented: “I am thrilled to be joining the team at La Belle Époque. I’ve admired the restaurant for some time for its award-winning cuisine and the team’s unique cooking methods. I look forward to bringing my passion for locally-sourced British produce and modern cooking to the table to create innovative dishes and continue delivering exceptional experiences for guests.”
La Belle Époque, which serves gourmet French cuisine with an Asian twist, is the only 3 AA rosette winning restaurant in Hounslow. With warmly-lit booths, charcoal leather banquette seating and rich plum-coloured fabrics, the restaurant’s bold decor provides a contrasting atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of Heathrow Airport. The restaurant also boasts two private dining options: the Chef’s Table which can accommodate 10 guests and the Salon Privé accommodating up to 20 guests.
The restaurant is located in Sofitel London Heathrow which is directly connected to London Heathrow’s Terminal 5 by a covered walkway and is just 5 minutes’ drive from both the M25 and the M4, making the hotel an ideal destination for food-lovers living in Hounslow, West London and surrounding areas.
