The Chedi Luštica Bay
The Chedi Luštica Bay is the first hotel to open within Luštica Bay – the largest fully integrated resort development of its type in south Eastern Europe.
The Chedi Luštica Bay is a 5-star destination overlooking the marina and boasts 111 rooms (including 60 condominium studios), two restaurants, a bar, an outdoor pool, spa, conference rooms and a business centre. The hotel’s design, overseen by GG&Grace International, takes inspiration from the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding area.
Gauthier Guillaume, founder of GG&Grace International, said:
“I believe different reasons convinced our client to work with GG&Grace International. In the last 10 years we have specialised ourselves in designing unique, creative and refined hospitality projects. We have won a solid reputation and several international accolades in terms of Design Awards for our projects in Europe, Middle-East, Africa, Caribbean and Indian Ocean. Our team of designers is young, dynamic and super flexible and always put the project first. In addition, from our offices in Rome and Egypt we were strategically located between the project in Montenegro and the owning company and operations in Switzerland and Egypt (we opened an office in Dubai Design District this year).
“At GG&Grace International we always love to study local influences and see how to integrate them in subtle ways in our designs. Montenegro is all about the nature, the sea, the mountains and the greenery. We used a lot of natural materials such as natural stones for floorings in the public areas and rooms and natural woods for furniture, partitioning and wall claddings.
“The reception counter back wall feature represents the Montenegrin Mountains at sunset; the wooden beam structure in the lobby refers to local architecture. In the lobby bar and Restaurants you will find many local accessories, custom made lighting, rugs and artworks. Also we used indoor and outdoor vegetation in several key areas.
“We take every project very seriously and this one in particular. Montenegro is a new destination in Europe and we’re very glad to be one of the first designers to work on a 5-star hotel project here. The country has amazing potential and the Chedi will be the showcase of our talent.”
The hotel’s two restaurants will be located by the waterside, serving dishes created using fresh, local ingredients. The Restaurant – the main dining area – will be home to an international buffet breakfast and an a la carte lunch and dinner menu. The Spot, meanwhile, will operate as a casual, walk in alternative. This all-day eatery will focus on a menu of Asian-inspired mains, bar staples and healthy salads. On the drink side, the Lobby Bar will offer a selection of classic and signature cocktails, liquors and regional wines.
CONTURA Kitchens (www.CONTURA.pro) is the project management partner of Nolte Kitchens (made in Germany) and specialises in the design, supply and installation of high quality Nolte kitchens. With CONTURA Kitchens you can create your own kitchen, customised to everyone’s personal requirements. From standard quality products for rental apartments to luxurious kitchens for high-end homes, almost each dream will be happening. The kitchens are characterised by carefully matched details for additional comfort and a harmonious appearance.
Working on the Luštica Bay project, the partnership of CONTURA Kitchens and NOLTE Kitchens designed, supplied and installed kitchens for the first and third phases of the marina apartments development. By definition, trend is an instrument for describing changes and currents in all levels of society. In our fast-moving world it is gaining in significance because it determines the direction in which zeitgeist and fashions are developing.
Mr Eise Lensink, CONTURA Kitchens, commented: “This project gave us the great opportunity to demonstrate our quality and project management performance for our clients and partners BESIX and Luštica Bay Development. It is an honour to work on a scheme such as this.”
