The launch of The Chilworth marks the first townhouse for the luxury hotel group – an urban boutique retreat and little London hideaway where every detail is designed to enhance your wellbeing as well as comfort during your stay.
Conveniently located just a few minutes from Paddington Station with its city, regional and international connections, The Chilworth is set in a beautifully refurbished Georgian townhouse and provides an oasis of calm on one of the capitals characteristic tree lined streets, a short stroll from Hyde Park.
Step inside the lobby; where warm, dark, wood polished marble and crushed velvet envelope guests in a laid-back luxury. With the feel of a private members club, but with the warmth of a neighbourhood café, it will make you feel at home – but very definitely away – secluded by quietly attentive service in surroundings as stimulating as they are relaxing.
With an elegant yet informal atmosphere, the décor blends classical period features with sharp, contemporary design. Every detail of the guest experience has been designed to provide the ultimate in personal service, from the hotel’s very own wellbeing ambassador to the pillow menu, which can be pre-selected prior to arrival.
MTD Contractors Ltd was the main contractor on The Chilworth, while Carter Design was the architect. The hotel was officially launched on 9 July 2018 and has 124 bedrooms each with Frette bed linen, iPod dock, high speed broadband, free international calls to selected countries, Minibar, Entertainment Centre and double glazed windows with some rooms fitted with a Vitamin C infused shower.
In the restaurant, the carefully considered menus also draw on elements of health and wellbeing, reflecting a philosophy of nurturing the soul as well as the body, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The restaurant is a bright, buzzy all-day eatery with an uncomplicated approach to food. Beautifully simple, prepared with flair and sourced with care from trusted growers and suppliers, it offers freshly prepared breakfasts, juices and smoothies, wholesome lunches and enticing afternoon teas and delicious dinners.
There is also a stylish bar for relaxing with pre or post dinner drinks, including signature cocktails. The bar offers a variety of well-chosen wines, a medley of local beers and intriguing cocktails as well as moreish mocktails for the health conscious tippler.
The Chilworth’s compact urban spa features a Jacuzzi, gym and an extensive range of treatments, as well as a yoga suite and outdoor yoga classes (weather permitting) in nearby Hyde Park, where walking tours can also be arranged.
