Premier Hospitality International 1.8
Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality International.
In this month’s issue we take a look at the 21c Museum Hotel; we check out the Intercontinental Hotel San Diego; and we explore the Marriott Frankfurt.
July 2018 saw the latest opening for the 21c Museum Hotels brand in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Marking the eighth location for North America’s only multi-venue museum dedicated to collecting and exhibiting art of the 21st century, the property features 120 guest rooms, including 19 suites; 6,200 square feet of contemporary art exhibition space; and The Savoy at 21c, the locally-inspired, chef-driven restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Joe West.
Housed in the historic Savoy Hotel and Grill building, 21c Kansas City is nestled between the Power and Light District and River Market in downtown Kansas City. Designed by New York-based architects Deborah Berke Partners with Kansas City-based architect Hufft Projects, the hotel honours the building’s illustrious past as the longest continuously running hotel west of the Mississippi.
The InterContinental San Diego is the city’s waterfront gem where guests can indulge in making memories, while experiencing the highest levels of luxury. The 400-room property overlooks San Diego Bayfront and is the third InterContinental Hotel & Resort property in Southern California.
Frankfurt’s Marriott hotel headed into the Christmas and New Year period with a brand new bar and restaurant for guests to enjoy.
Champions Bar & Restaurant was created by restaurant and hotel interior design specialist B3 Designers – and was unveiled late 2018. Champions Bar & Restaurant is a European sports bar and restaurant serving classic bar dishes and drinks in the German city’s central district of Innenstadt.
The lead designer on Marriott Frankfurt’s Champions Bar & Restaurant project was Laura Caner, who studied interior design in Barcelona, Spain. Laura joined B3 Designers in 2017.
With all this and more, join us as we explore the impressive construction projects that continue to shape landscapes around the globe. Go well!
