This Month in Premier Retail 2-8
Welcome to Premier Retail – the premier construction tool for the retail industry.
In this month’s issue we take a look at Retail EXPO; we highlight a new flagship store for Watches of Switzerland; and we take a look at Shanghai Tang
Retail Design Expo (RDE), the UK’s leading event for innovation in retail design, marketing and VM from Reed Exhibitions, will combine with Retail Digital Signage Expo (RDSE) and Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE), Europe’s largest retail solutions show, as one unified show for 2019, to mirror the transformation being seen in the retail industry and better meet the needs of its show audiences. Reed’s three retail shows will transform into a single event, RetailEXPO, to bring together over 15,000 retailers, brands, retail design businesses and tech exhibitors to the 2019 show, taking place on 1 – 2 of May at London’s Olympia. The move to unify three of Europe’s leading retail trade shows from Reed Exhibitions was based on extensive independent research, talking to over 150 senior retailers and brands that represent the shows’ audiences – from CEOs to sole traders, from multinationals to small independent shops as well as pureplay and omnichannel businesses.
CAPELO & MNA have designed the Watches of Switzerland flagship store in SoHo, New York City. Established in 1924, The Watches of Switzerland Group is the largest luxury watch and jewellery retailer in the UK. The Greene Street store is the first showroom in New York City and the second in its new USA portfolio, and contains many brands, as well as a cocktail bar and a specialised library on the lower-ground level.
And finally, Shanghai Tang has opened in the Pacific Place shopping centre in Hong Kong. Completed in November 2018, the latest boutique took six months to complete. Stefano Tordiglione Design was appointed as the Executive Designer and Project Manager with the creative direction from Carlotta Turini, highlighting the brand’s own signature at the forefront of the design.
With all this and much more inside, please join us as we explore the projects which continue to shape the retail sector.
