Lower East Side favourite unveils new take on outside entertaining.

Ever evolving and on the heels of its two-year anniversary, PUBLIC continues to lead the pack with its outdoor entertainment offering, food and beverage and has cemented its position as a self-contained social hub in the Lower East Side.

An exciting new addition to PUBLIC’s rooftop will be revealed; an outdoor mirrored structure designed by Herzog & de Meuron reflecting the New York City skyline for outdoor entertainment.  With the arrival of Spring and for the first time ever, a food menu will be now be served on The Roof daily between 5- 11 PM offering a dining option with the most spectacular views of the city. PUBLIC will be kicking off May with Frieze Art Fair Week on The Roof followed by a legendary Cinco De Mayo fiesta, a full moon party for those who worship the night and World Pride celebrations this June.

Starting in May, PUBLIC re-opens Chrystie Park, a unique urban garden and ideal space to appreciate the first of Spring and Summer freshly landscaped by Madison Cox. Weekend brunch is served at Bowery Garden with morning buffets and shaved ice cocktails at night inspired by the Lower East Side.

PUBLIC Kitchen, the revolutionary restaurant by Michelin starred Jean-Georges Vongerichten, will continue to offer foodies the best burgers in town and a brand new Spring ready Brunch menu that includes dishes such as a purple asparagus and spicy chorizo pizza, roasted vegetable burgers and a broccoli and cheddar cheese frittata. PUBLIC Kitchen launches a new Banquet menu offering the unique opportunity of having your private party catered by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

PUBLIC Arts, the contemporary version of Studio 54, has plenty in store and remains one of New York’s hottest nightlife, media and entertainment destination with live shows, comedy, top act DJs and the immersive theater experience Carmen: To Havana and Back. Named ‘The best adaptation of Carmen yet’ by Cool Hunting, the show is now running till May 18th Carmen and offers a journey through space and time detailing a romance that never dies. Perhaps disco dancing is your preferred depart from the hustle and bustle, find a space beneath the disco ball on Wednesday with SoundChk and with Thursday’s night groove Chrystie’s with DJ Eli Escobar and Luka Tacon.

Alternatively, more laid-back music aficionados can enjoy a unique Live Jazz line-up on Wednesday’s in collaboration with the Lincoln Center or Live DJs on Thursday at Diego. Diego, PUBLIC’s stylish, sophisticated and sexy intimate bar (with great food) and the best mixologists the world has to offer carries a spirit akin to a private gentleman’s club in London.
