Northamptonshire health venue, Homefield Grange has unveiled a £1.7 million ‘natural wellness’ spa. The new facility offers day spa packages that will run alongside existing residential programs.
Completed in December 2018, the spa project was undertaken by Butterscotch Design who have successfully delivered on Homefield’s desire to connect people back to nature with a wholesome concept. The new spa is the perfect complement to the retreat’s ethos to step away from ‘busy’ and connect back to their inner selves.
Restoring the concept of the original dairy farm, traditional and reclaimed building methods and materials have been used throughout the public areas.
Commenting on the work, Russell King, Managing Director of Butterscotch Design said: “Due to the rural location and features of the original farm building, we wanted to connect the spa back with its heritage. Natural, rustic materials were used in a contemporary way, including real dry stone walling, reclaimed rustic barn cladding, wrought iron, natural stone and rock.”
To complete the new natural wellness spa, the project involved a new basement extension, refurbishment of reception and changing areas and new roof terrace and landscaped gardens.
Set in the beautiful countryside of Northampton, the new spa is spread across 3,500sq.ft. Facilities include six treatment rooms, herbal sauna, Himalaya salt steam room, Kneipp water therapy, a stunning infinity edge hydropool and far and near infrared loungers. Relaxation also comes naturally on one of the unique North Pole Magnetic loungers or Deep Water massage beds.
