Leading hospitality platform hires former American Express director to lead expansion strategy in Europe.

SevenRooms, a data-driven operations, marketing and guest engagement platform used by restaurant, hotel food and beverage (F&B), nightlife and entertainment operators in more than 250 cities worldwide, is excited to announce the hiring of Danilo Mangano, former Director of Global Premium Products & Benefits at American Express, as General Manager, Europe. In his leadership role, Mangano will spearhead SevenRooms’ growth strategy across key markets in the U.K. and Europe, in addition to scaling the company’s team in their London-based office.

Focused on enabling hospitality operators to capture and leverage data across the guest journey, the SevenRooms platform provides robust tools including: reservation and seating management, integrations across POS, PMS, payment processors and booking channels, guest profiles with customizable and automated guest tags, experiences and upgrades, and marketing automation and guest engagement tools inclusive of review aggregation, email automation, and special offers.

Located in London’s Victoria neighborhood, the newly opened SevenRooms U.K. office is a natural evolution of the considerable momentum in the market over the past 12 months, with the company seeing a 105% year-over-year (YOY) increase in U.K. reservations booked through SevenRooms and a 116% increase YOY in seated diners across Europe. This includes the signing of key clients in the market including: Corbin & King, JKS Restaurants, Inception Group, Marcus Wareing Restaurants, AELTC (Wimbledon), Park Chinois, Bagatelle, Coya, Luca, Brew and Antipodea Restaurant Group, Hutong, The Standard Hotel, The Good Egg, Hush Mayfair, Highlands Hospitality, Big Easy (including famed River Cafe), 5 Hertford Street and Redemption Bar .

“We are thrilled to welcome Danilo to the SevenRooms family,” said Joel Montaniel, CEO of SevenRooms. “As SevenRooms has grown and evolved over the past few years, the need for a European base of operations has become a priority for our team, and we’re excited to bring it to life with a leading hospitality expert. Danilo has been our top choice for this role for some time, working with him first as a partner and key stakeholder at American Express, and we’re happy to bring this vision to life as we grow our operational footprint throughout Europe. From day one, our focus has been on providing the best experience to our clients around the world, and by expanding our team in London, we will be able to offer even better hospitality and support to our clients across Europe.”

“Working for American Express for six years was an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling role, partnering with restaurants, chefs and hospitality partners throughout the world,” said Danilo Mangano, General Manager, Europe of SevenRooms. “Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege to work closely with Joel and the SevenRooms team as they powered American Express’ concierge portal for Premium Cardmembers. It was during this time that I truly got to understand the power of guest data, and the SevenRooms platform, in driving the future of hospitality. By joining SevenRooms, I am moving from working with one of the best companies in the world, to working with the best hospitality product in the world, and I’m excited to be a part of this journey as we move into the next chapter for SevenRooms.”
