Welcome to the latest edition of Premier Hospitality.

In this month’s issue we take a look at The Prince Akatoki; we check out Manchester Gin; and we unveil Bank House Wine Bar & Kitchen.

StayWell Holdings, a subsidiary of Prince Hotels Inc. – one of Japan’s leading hotel and leisure companies – has opened The Prince Akatoki in London.

After years of delivering unparalleled British luxury in the heart of Marylebone, award-winning hotel The Arch London, located in Great Cumberland Place near Marble Arch, underwent a full transformation to become the inaugural, luxury hotel under the newly launched global brand aiming to provide luxury services with Japanese hospitality.

A masterpiece of design occupying six Grade II* listed railway arches, under the historic centre of the city at Manchester Central conference venue in Watson Street, Manchester Gin have just launched their brand new distillery, bar and restaurant.

The six arches are connected by intersecting vaults and three of these are open to the public, with the other three being used as bottling areas and offices. Customers can visit the state-of-the-art distillery to see the gin being made, and even create their own unique bottle to take home.

Husband and wife team Stuart and Cecilia Gillies have opened Bank House Wine Bar and Kitchen in their home town Chislehurst, Kent. Opened in September, the independent bar and kitchen specialises in serving a weekly-changing menu of modern European plates alongside a dynamic wine list.

Housed in an Edwardian red brick former bank on Chislehurst High Street, the site has been restored in its entirety and converted into a space which spans three floors. Upon entering the ground floor bar and dining area, guests are greeted by a large showpiece hardwood and aged coppertop bar which runs the length of the downstairs wall. Upstairs is a cosy cocktail bar, with sash windows, contemporary fireplace and exposed oak beams, serving a short menu of wines, Champagnes and mixed drinks based around seasonal flavours.
