A multi-million pound resounding ‘first’ for Jersey as the only facility of its type on the island, Jump Jersey is a major new indoor activity attraction, just completed at Les Ormes Resort in Saint Brelade.
Incorporating a whole host of exciting activities, the project has been billed as the biggest tourism development in Jersey this century.
Attractions within the 21,000sq m facility include 40 trampoline beds, a Dodge Ball trampoline court, Reaction Walls, a Ninja Warrior Course, a battle beam and Foam Pit, an ‘Airbag’ and a Total Wipeout Machine – where the last person standing wins.
There’s also a climbing arena with 18 Climbing Walls, a ‘Stairway to Heaven, a Soft Play Area including a Toddler Area for children up to 1m in height and an Adventure Toddler area for children up to 1.4m in height. Works to create the facility also included the formation of an external landscaped entrance.
The project to create the new facility was carried out by main contractors Ariparc, who were commended for doing an ‘amazing job’.Steve Le Galle, Jump Jersey & Entertainment General Manager at Les Ormes said. “This is a great attraction for Jersey and the first of its type on the island. The project involved lots of challenges, but all were resolved quickly and the contract team did an amazing job. “This new indoor activity centre means that Les Ormes is now an all year round resort.”
Nathan Maguire of Les Ormes said: “The Activity Centre offers fun, fitness, mental stimulation and adventure all year round. The centre also offers school holiday activity weeks, adult and toddler sessions, birthday parties, corporate events and specific sessions for mentally and physically disabled children by our trained staff.” Les Ormes is situated on the west coast of the Island, with award-winning beaches, the Island’s finest surf, historic towers, sand dunes, woodlands, coastal paths and more.
The resort mixes quality accommodation with superb onsite facilities including a golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts a brasserie and children’s activities to ensure a superb experience for all ages. Accommodation ranges in size from one to five bedrooms including lodges with hot tubs, poolside family apartments and the unique ‘Le Tir’ building – developed to accommodate up to 12 people. The Bosdet Foundation, a charitable trust, is at the heart of Les Ormes. The Foundation owns Les Ormes and the primary reason Les Ormes grows and evolves is to give back to the community of Jersey.
The charity is pleased to announce that they are able to distribute £110,000.00 in addition to the projects they are currently supporting in 2019.
