Elliott Off-Site has been awarded a major contract with McDonalds UK to design, manufacture and construct its new two-storey Drive-Thru restaurant.
The new 130-cover restaurant is the first of its type in the UK and is being constructed in Bognor Regis in West Sussex.
McDonalds UK worked closely with Elliott Off-Site to evolve their design concept into highly engineered volumetric units. Elliott was able to demonstrate its capacity and capability of meeting the demanding programme requirements having delivered a range of new single-storey restaurants in line with McDonald’s planned expansion programme.
Included as part of the design is a dining area and toilets in the ‘LIM food’ design concept. Staff areas include kitchen and servery, offices and storage.
Elliott Off-Site Managing Director, Paul Lang, said:
“The new format store at Bognor Regis will be the first two-storey Drive-Thru location in the UK. Our specialist team worked very closely with McDonalds to develop a bespoke off-site solution for this exciting new store format.”
“We have a number of retail solutions for clients looking for high quality modular buildings. Our experience in this sector allows us to complete projects on very short schedules – around half the time of a conventional build – which means clients can begin trading much sooner.”
Elliott Off-Site has over 45 years of delivering innovative off-site design and build solutions and is able to help clients achieve the highest environmental ratings and carbon neutrality.
