It’s all systems go for a £45 million redevelopment of Benenden hospital – now that a contract for the work has been signed.
Contractors Willmott Dixon Construction Limited will be undertaking the multi-million pound project which will transform Benenden hospital into a state-of-the-art hospital poised to meet the future’s changing healthcare needs.
The redevelopment will transform Benenden hospital into a leading centre for health and wellbeing. It will result in single bedrooms throughout, a new main entrance, a glass roofed reception, scanning and diagnostic imaging and more.
Graham Hadfield, chair of the hospital’s board of governors, welcomed the development. He said: “The start of this extensive redevelopment is a real turning point. It not only secures the hospital’s long term future but also gives it the opportunity to become what we want it to be – the hospital of choice.”
The works are due to be complete by December 2016.
