A-Plant, part of FTSE 100 company Ashtead Group plc has been awarded the highest accolade of five stars in the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) audit, formerly known as Link-Up. The certification covers all aspects of A-Plant’s ability to serve the rail industry.

A-Plant’s Head of Performance Standards, Chris Ryan said: “We have received the accolade as a result of our demonstration of a compliant and auditable business management system, having met the Network Rail Sentinel Health, Safety, Operational and Competence standards required under the RISQS framework for working within the rail environment.”

Chris continued: “To receive five stars in the RISQS audit is a fantastic achievement and is in large parts down to the expertise and dedication of A-Plant’s Performance Standards team in implementing such robust procedures, coupled with the willingness of our Rail locations to steadfastly follow these procedures. Being RISQS audited allows us to hire equipment to rail projects whilst assuring our customers that we are compliant with the highest of industry standards.”

A-Plant’s Rail division is well positioned to support the rail industry; on top of A-Plant’s five star RISQS award the business is an active member of the Rail Alliance which spans all aspects of the railway sector and its support industries. As a Rail Alliance member A-Plant Rail regularly collaborates with suppliers and customers to develop and promote innovative and sustainable solutions for the benefit of the industry.
