Mecalac Construction Equipment UK Ltd (formerly Terex GB) will unveil its vision for the future at this year’s Plantworx exhibition (6-8 June), with the launch of three impressive new additions to its market-leading compact portfolio.

Alongside exclusively unveiling its eagerly-awaited TLB870 – the company’s most cost-effective backhoe loader yet, Mecalac will bring new life to its proven classics, with refreshed versions of the world-renowned TV1200 tandem roller and MBR single-drum roller trailer. Mecalac’s focus is simple – drive the future of construction to deliver innovation as standard.

TLB870 backhoe loader

Modern, efficient and class-leading, the TLB870 is Mecalac’s most cost-effective backhoe loader yet! Perfectly blending modern design features, including innovative loader arm design, bespoke roof canopy and LED lights, with a highly affordable price point, the all-new model is sure to impress.

With the TLB870, style and performance come in equal measure. Visitors who come to Mecalac’s live action demo area at Plantworx will have the chance to get behind the wheel and experience 7% increase in dig reach and 8% increase in dig depth compared to the competition. Power and results – providing an impressive return on investment.

Mecalac TV1200 tandem roller

Bringing new life to a proven classic, the TV1200 tandem roller has been designed to excel in even the toughest conditions. Using compaction expertise accumulated over more than 40 years, the rejuvenated model features an all-new vacuum formed bonnet, revised side arm, LED lights and a fully-refreshed livery.

A water-cooled diesel engine and renowned mass exciter system complete the set-up, guaranteeing a reliable roller with outstanding performance.

Mecalac MBR Trailer

Completing the trio, the all-new MBR single-drum roller trailer provides a cost-effective, tow-behind solution for Mecalac’s pedestrian roller portfolio. Taking the hassle out of transporting compaction equipment between job sites, the hard-wearing trailer attaches to any standard tow-bar.

Inverted suspension allows for low loading, while a new light board design for 2017 ensures optimum visibility and compliance for road-tow operation.

Paul Macpherson, Sales & Marketing Director at Mecalac Construction’s Coventry facility, commented: “Continued progress is key to leading the way in the compact equipment marketplace. Announcing the launch of three new products demonstrates our focus for the future.”

In addition to launching new compact models, Mecalac will also use Plantworx to unveil its game-changing wheeled-excavator concept – the MWR – to the UK market. Winner of the Bauma Innovation Award for 2016, the product challenges the excavator market’s traditional design architecture.

Developed with three key themes in mind – stability, accessibility and simplicity, the MRW fuses the rotation of a wheeled excavator and stability of telescopic loader in a highly-progressive design. The iconic vehicle boasts the lowest centre of gravity in the market, allowing users to safely move greater volumes of earth, while also being able to tackle challenging terrains.
