Develop Training has appointed a new Business Development Manger.
Tracy Chambers joins the firm, continuing a long career in Business Development and Account management, predominantly in the training sector.
“Training is what I’m passionate about,” says Tracy. “I have worked in other sectors, but it’s not the same. My knowledge base is all around training and, more importantly, I believe in it – which is really important for me to be able to do this job well.”
Tracy says her passion for training began during her time working for holiday company, Center Parcs. She joined as a Restaurant and Banqueting Manager but quickly moved into training.
“Investing in your people is the bedrock of any successful company,” she says “so I was really keen to be a part of that.”
Since then, she moved into business development and account management where she had the opportunity to promote her passion for training to other businesses.
Tracy was drawn to Develop Training because the ethos of the company chimes with her own values and because it offers the opportunity to be part of something important.
“There is a massive skills shortage in this industry,’ she says “so investing in training is absolutely crucial for firms operating in the sector.
“There’s no hard sell required here. It’s about building relationships with clients, helping them to understand the importance and value of training and supporting them to achieve their vision to have a competent and skilled workforce.
“We’re helping to ensure our customers in the utilities sector are compliant and working towards national standards. That’s something I’m really proud to be involved in.”
