DTH Plant Hire, a start up business only two years ago, is continuing to go from strength-to-strength in the plant hire market based on its commitment to provide market leading service, as well as quality and reliable products that the industry demands.

The Leicestershire-based company has recently expanded its machinery fleet further thanks to the purchase of 16 Kubota excavators from BTE Plant Sales, meaning the Japanese manufacturer now makes up more than half of the hire firm’s £2 million machinery inventory.

The partnership between DTH Plant Hire, BTE Plant Sales and Kubota UK is one of key reasons the business has been able to fuel its swift and significant growth in the market. Established in 2016, DTH Plant Hire was formed by Dave Green. With more than 35 years industry experience, Dave has utilised his extensive working relationships to cement DTH Plant Hire as a rising star within the plant hire sector.

Dave Green, Managing Director at DTH Plant Hire, said: “When working in the construction industry, time is money so it’s imperative that we utilise equipment that offers contractors reliability and the highest levels of performance. The sudden success of the business is based upon the reputation we have built over the past two years on providing quality and efficient machinery, and the relationship we have with BTE Plant Sales and Kubota, and the service and aftersales support they provide, has been pivotal to that.”

DTH Plant Hire’s recent order for more Kubota excavators has been driven by the recent rise in house building projects in Leicestershire and the surrounding areas, with customers demanding powerful, robust and efficient hire equipment. This includes the addition of 5 x KX080-4’s, 3 x U55-4’s, 5 x U48-4’s and 3 x U27-4’s, strengthening its fleet to 50 machines.

The KX and zero-tail swing U excavator series from Kubota are the most reliable and durable machines on the market. The excavator’s utilise Kubota’s latest industry-leading engine technology, designed to offer maximum fuel efficiency, minimal noise and vibration, as well as low emission levels that meet current regulations.

Richard Sayers, Senior Dealer Manager Construction Department at Kubota UK, said: “We’re delighted to see the presence of DTH Plant Hire enhance within the marketplace. Dave is well known in the industry and has ambitious growth plans and we’re glad to be able to help him better meet the demands of his customers through the addition of new Kubota machinery.”
