London-based Cheval Residences becomes first serviced apartment brand to adopt Criton’s new group app functionality with its portfolio of luxury properties.

Criton, the UK’s first intuitive app builder for the hospitality sector, has announced the launch of its group app functionality.  Created specifically for the hospitality sector, the new product enables accommodation providers with multiple properties a platform to include information on each one within a single container app. With locations across the capital city, Cheval Residences are the first serviced apartment group to adopt the new technology with eight of their luxury properties contained within their new app.

The group product is the first addition to the Criton portfolio and further demonstrates the company’s understanding of the hospitality sector as it supports business owners and managers in providing the very best guest experience.

Julie Grieve, founder & CEO of Criton, said: “Our new product will be transformative for groups of serviced apartments and hotels as they wrap all guest-facing technology into one unique portal and we are delighted that the team at Cheval Residences is already benefiting from our new functionality. Group functionality is a game-changer for multiple properties like Cheval; enabling them to showcase the unique personality of each property while reinforcing their brand, increasing direct bookings and driving loyalty from new and repeat guests.”

As the leading luxury serviced apartment provider in London, Cheval Residences has created its own branded ‘parent’ app, which contains standalone apps for all its serviced apartments.  Guests at any Cheval property can download the app from today on their own personal mobile device to find out everything they need to know about the property they’re staying in; or review information on other locations and consider a future visit.  Prior to working with Criton the company had a static app which offered no content control and quickly became outdated due to ongoing iOS updates.

Commenting on the launch, George Westwell, Director at Cheval Residences said: “As an accommodation provider who has delivered excellence for the last 35 years we take great pride in delivering a high standard of guest experience.  With the new Cheval app we are not only able to personalise the guest experience at each of our residences, but with Criton we also have complete control over our content and brand”.

With the new product, accommodation providers are now able to benefit from the following features:

  • Full brand control for both individual properties and the parent group, ensuring the unique personality of each accommodation and location is clearly identified
  • Ability to list properties by categories such as location or accommodation type, encouraging cross-promotion across the group’s inventory to upsell repeat visits by guests
  • Signposting queries from guests to the right property through the creation of both Head Office and individual accommodation contact information to ensure ease of communication between your team and guests pre, during and post stay
  • An integrated mapping tool to ensure ease of use for guests when planning the itinerary for their visit

The new product is ideal for groups of serviced apartments and hotels.  Criton offers a free 30-day trial which is accessible via
