100% Group Win Best Installation at the POPAI Awards  

The rise of the self-service customer: Why retailers need to give their customers greater freedom of choice

International retail display specialists, 100% Group, emerged victorious at the POPAI Awards 2018  after receiving the gold award in the installation category. The award recognises their ‘Field Day’ European implementation project for consumer electronics giant, Sonos, which consisted of 3,000 retail display installations and their ongoing maintenance across 14 countries.

The successful Sonos ‘Field Day’ project was launched in October 2017 to coincide with the launch of the Sonos One speaker. Sonos chose to partner with 100% because of its vast experience of international retail installations in the consumer electronics sector and fixture technology. The project was managed centrally from the UK in collaboration with multiple stakeholders across Europe and deployed highly-skilled field resources to roll out the complex technology installation.

The POPAI (Point of Purchase Advertising International) awards recognise excellence, creativity and innovation for in-store experiences across a variety of retail sectors and categories. The winning Sonos project included the implementation of a suite of innovative customer demonstration fixtures, which accommodate the different retail environments in a variety of languages that can demo and convert customers in-store. The displays provide Sonos with the ability to remotely update content and monitor display performance. 100% manages the ongoing maintenance of the 3,000 displays to ensure that customers receive a consistent and high-level experience in-store. Stores are able to call the 100% centrally managed, multi-lingual technical help-desk to request field service visits and repairs from its locally based engineering resource.

Founder and managing director at 100%, Dan Williams, commented, “Our gold installation award is the second time POPAI has recognised our international capability and project management approach.
