Gary Oliver has been hired as Key Account Manager covering Scotland and Northern Ireland, and Brian Leckie is the new centre manager at Linlithgow.

In his new role, Gary will be responsible for managing customer relationships and business development. He will ensure that key corporate customers receive the highest standards of training and customer service, working closely with them to understand their needs and  tailor programmes to suit those requirements.

He brings experience in NVQs and apprenticeships from previous roles in England and Scotland, including most recently two years as director of a training company in northern England. He previously had a business development and operational role with a training provider in Glasgow.

Fitness enthusiast Gary, from Falkirk, enjoys playing five-a-side football and motorcycling. He has a son at university.

As Training Centre Manager for Linlithgow, Brian is responsible for ensuring that the centre is equipped and maintained to deliver first class training to DTL’s corporate and SME customers. He will also work as a Senior Lecturer, drawing on his expertise in the utilities sector to deliver courses in areas such as gas maintenance, pressure control and distribution.

His lecturing skills will also extend DTL’s capabilities in Scotland. Brian, who began his career at SGN, joins DTL from another training organisation where he was delivering CCN1 refresher training, TPCP1, TPCP1a, UVHW and legionella-related courses.

He also has experience of working with apprentices on pressure control and maintenance training, so will be a valuable addition to DTL’s capabilities as an approved provider under the government’s apprenticeship levy scheme.

Married with an eight-year-old son, Brian enjoys spending his free time with his family.
