ELICITE Launches with Content-Led Platform

New integrated wine platform ELICITE combines retail and educational content to design a new fine wine experience for consumers.

Launching in early 2019, new fine wine ecommerce and media platform ELICITE will redefine the way consumers experience and purchase fine wine. The website will combine content and commerce and offer a tailored series of educational content along with curated selections of mixed wines and single bottles available for purchase.

The website will launch with the The Essentials film series, a 7-part film series covering the basics of correctly serving, storing and drinking fine wine, its hidden costs, how to easily read and understand wine labels and the basics of wine making. ELICITE will divide content into four levels of experience, starting with The Explorer and ascending to The Connoisseur, The Expert, and finally The Master. Each will feature a series of high-production value films, narrated by Master of Wine, Alistair Cooper. Upon purchase of mixed selections of wine, customers will unlock complimentary content that will enhance their learning and tasting experience. Alongside the film series ELICITE will also release further content including YouTube videos, blog articles and podcasts.

Martyn has secured several renowned industry experts, such as Clement Robert, Master Sommelier (UK Sommelier of the Year), Ronan Sayburn, Master Sommelier (67 Pall Mall Wine Club), Bjornstierne Antonson, Head Sommelier & Wine Director (Richard Juhlin Champagne Club) and Alistair Cooper, Master of Wine, who have contributed to both the film content and accompanying curated wine selections available on the platform.

Available for the UK market from launch and with plans to roll out internationally, the mixed selection cases accompanying each film series are curated to complement each level of learning. They represent the best selection of quality premium products from award-winning vignerons such as Chateau Pichon Lalande, Domaine William Fevre, Dom Perignon and Louis Jadot.

Led by ELICITE’s wine director Martyn Zemavicius who has 20 years of experience in the fine wine industry, ELICITE provides an exceptional selection of wine. Having purchased existing UK wine merchant Grand Clos Ltd, ELICITE will draw on its strong relationships with niche producers like Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, Charles Heidsieck, Penfolds, and Vietti, as well as securing UK exclusivity for Grand Cru producing Champagne houses including Bonnaire, Roger Brun and Paul Clouet.

Launching later in 2019, ELICITE will also be creating experiential events and other digital content to further customer’s journey and discovery of the world of fine wine.
