Working in partnership with Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland (awarded the Princess Royal Training Award in 2018), The Torridon (crowned Independent Hotel of the Year at The Cateys 2018) is encouraging young people with their sights set on a career in hospitality to apply for a two-year apprenticeship position. Successful applicants will embark on an unforgettable journey of learning, adventure and experience in the Highlands whilst assisting with the delivery of five-star service.
Housekeeping, food & beverage, front of house and trainee commis chef positions are available, all offering autonomy, interaction and variety.
Award-winning former apprentice at The Torridon Rosie is testament to the calibre of training and development at the hotel. In November 2017, Rosie scooped ‘Apprentice of the Year Level 2’ and ‘Scotland’s Apprentice of the Year’ at the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards. Having graduated from the apprenticeship scheme, Rosie still works at The Torridon and is set to have a long and successful career there!

The level of training that apprentices receive at The Torridon is second to none, largely thanks to co-owner and people director Rohaise Rose-Bristow, who is also chairwoman of Apprenticeship in Hospitality Scotland. Rohaise approaches training from the individual’s perspective, allowing that person to hone existing skills and learn new ones all the time.
And what a destination to be in to spread your wings! Set at the head of a beautiful sea loch, overlooked by mountains, The Torridon commands fantastic views, and with its dedicated activity guides, Torridon Outdoors, there is plenty of opportunity to go kayaking, mountain biking, hiking or wildlife spotting. What’s not to like?! Read an interview with Level 1 Apprentice Ronan here to find out more.
The deadline for applications is approaching, so don’t delay and apply by 17 May.
