The Ultima Collection, founded by Byron Baciocchi and Max-Hervé George is delighted to announce a series of new appointments both to the Ultima Group at a brand level, as well as to the individual properties.

To mark the group’s ongoing expansion, the Ultima Collection plans to double its hotel staff by December 2020, which involves a rigorous recruitment programme to deploy new talent to each of the luxury establishments. These appointments will be spread across the luxury properties in Gstaad, Crans Montana, Megève and Geneva, with a new opening scheduled for Courchevel later this year. In addition, a total of 20 new appointments have been made to the Ultima Collection as a group, with a view to driving the expansion of the collection and overseeing the operational strategy of the properties from a brand perspective.

Laure Rüegger joins the group as the Chief Operating Officer and will be overseeing and developing the operational strategy of the Ultima Collection to ensure that the group continues to flourish in light of the expansion plans. With a highly successful track record in the luxury hotel sector, Rüegger has held management positions in leading hotel establishments in both the UK and France. Commenting on the group’s managerial development plans, Rüegger says “In 2018, the Ultima Group employed 150 people at an operational level, and in light of the group’s expansion, we are excited to announce that the company plans to welcome an additional 150 professionals to the properties, with an overall aim to continue to deliver the ultra-luxury standards that are synonymous with the Ultima brand”.

The group’s flagship hotel, Ultima Gstaad, is delighted to welcome a new managing director, Simon Le Cossec, who brings with him over ten years of experience with Small Luxury Hotels of The World. Simon is supported by a strong team of accomplished talents and under his leadership the collection’s flagship property will continue to deliver the impeccable service that has resulted in the hotel’s continued success since it opened its doors in December 2017.

On a brand level, the Ultima Collection has made a selection of new appointments which include Nicolas Sabatier, the Group Food & Beverage Director who has joined the team from Brando Hotel of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia, and Vincent Blanchoz, the group’s new Purchasing Director with over 15 years of experience across the purchasing and trading sectors.

The strategic vision of the group’s recruitment is driven by Group Human Resources Director Jean Francois Colloud. “Ultima is seeking first and foremost to recruit strong personalities with proven skills in the luxury industry, this requires leadership, talent and the ability to act as precursors in their respective fields”, says Colloud, “In each Ultima establishment, it is our aim for all of our clients to have an entirely unique experience, which means in a sense that our staff members must have a “unique” identity of their own”.
