Figures from Strutt and Parker have found that over half of people in Britain would like to buy a new home by the coast, with 43% of respondents believing that waterside living makes people happier[1]. Launching on September 14th, Millwood Designer Homes’ new development Bakers Field is offering homebuyers the opportunity to live their coastal dream in the picturesque village of Cliffsend, Kent.

The new collection of homes will offer 22 exclusive properties in a range of styles and designs to suit all buyers. The two, three, four and five-bedroom homes have been thoughtfully designed for modern lifestyles with contemporary interiors, spacious layouts and exteriors that effortlessly blend into their surroundings. Each property will feature a high-standard specification and attention to detail, for which Millwood are renowned.

Philip Brown, Sales & Marketing Director at Millwood Designer Homes, comments: “We are delighted to be launching an exclusive collection of luxury new homes in the coastal village of Cliffsend. Bakers Field will provide purchasers with the opportunity to enjoy all the benefits that living in a seaside location offers. We recognise the strong demand for high quality coastal homes and would encourage those interested to get in contact as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”

With an established presence in the area already, Millwood Designer Homes has an in-depth understanding of what local buyers are seeking. Purposefully designed to create an elegant new community, with a carefully considered selection of materials which reflect the varied character of the village, the design incorporates a combination of retained brick, clay plain tiling or fully timber boarded elevations, giving the development its own distinct character whilst being of typical Millwood Designer Homes design.

Nestled in the idyllic inlet of Pegwell Bay, the village of Cliffsend offers a local post office, a petrol station and an 18-hole golf course at St Augustine’s Golf Club. For lovers of the outdoors, Pegwell Bay Country Park is located just a mile from Bakers Field while the larger seaside town of Ramsgate is located two miles to the north. The coastal towns of Margate and Broadstairs are both within easy reach, and the historic cathedral city of Canterbury the UNESCO World Heritage Site is under 30 minutes away.

Ideal for families, Bakers Field benefits from first class education choices with the Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Chilton Primary School as well as the Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ St Bart’s Day Nursery. Cliffsend is surrounded by three Grammar Schools, amongst them being the Sir Roger Manwood’s School in Sandwich, and Dane Court Grammar School in Broadstairs, both rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’.

Minster station is just 10-minutes from Cliffsend and offers trains to Canterbury West station in as little as 16 minutes. For those commuting into London, Ramsgate station provides train services into St Pancras London in approximately 75 minutes.

Guide prices at Bakers Field start from £245,000. Help to Buy is available on selected plots. For more information please visit www.millwooddesignerhomes.co.uk or call 01843 880843.
