Centor’s Screen and Shade System is Perfect for Luxury Housebuilders

Luxury house builders and developers looking to stand out from the crowd can now offer a combined insect and privacy screen for wide span glazing. The new screen and shade system from Centor can be installed on any bifold and sliding doors.

“It resolves the issue of how to dress the wide span glazed doors,” says Mike Sullivan, Sales and Operations Manager for Centor Europe. “It is a common problem for luxury new build homes. Curtains are too fussy and can get in the way of large areas of glazing, while blinds can look too commercial. But buyers want to know that they can be safe from prying eyes and equally, after the glut of mosquitoes this summer, we know more people are choosing insect screens. Centor’s S4 screen and shade system does both. It’s a privacy screen and keeps out insects.

“When they’re not in use, they retract discreetly into the frame. To make sure the material is always tight we have added top and bottom tabs so that even in a breeze it keeps insects out. They operate on fingertip touch, and whether you choose the screen or shade option they glide across the door. There’s a stop facility where only partial screening is wanted.

“You don’t have to take our word for it. Earlier this year Centor’s S4 screen and shade system won the prestigious ‘Best of the Best’ Red Dot Award, an international accolade for great design. Other winners include top brands Ferrari and Apple, two of the most iconic names when it comes to product design. Winning this award is testament to Centor’s focus on aesthetics as well as engineering.

“Centor Production System provides real time quotes and information,” adds Mike. “So dealing with Centor couldn’t be easier.”
