A London Vermouth and Bitters producer has celebrated the successful completion of its recent crowdfunding campaign with an exclusive new range of limited edition products and ‘bartender tools’. Asterley Bros, who make artisan spirits including Amaro and Fernet at their Forest Hill workshop in South London, will produce only 50 bottles of each batch of their newly launched range, the ‘Unnamed Collection’.
The limited edition micro-batch releases are not available for sale but are gifted to the bartender community who have supported the Asterley Bros brand since their first product launch in 2017.
Asterley Bros Creative Director Joe Schofield said, “Our new ‘Unnamed Collection’ is an opportunity for us to give back to the bartenders who have shown us such incredible support over the last year. We wanted to give a little something back to the hard working F&B professionals who have been such a big part of our journey so far”
“Our ‘Unnamed Collection – Batch 1’ was a cocktail, a collaboration with new brand Seven Tails XO and really showcased the versatility of grape-based spirits. The feedback we received form the bartenders was just amazing! We are now working on R&D for ‘Batch 2’, an English botanical Eau De Vie, and have some fantastic plans for the rest of the year. Each of the releases will be a one off, never to be repeated, and won’t be available to be purchased”
Joe Schofield was given the honour of creating Batch 1, drawing upon his extensive experience as one of the world’s leading bartenders. Having worked at internationally renowned bars including The American Bar at The Savoy, and Tippling Club in Singapore, Schofield was awarded both International Bartender of the Year at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirit Awards and Bartender’s Bartender at The World’s 50 Best Bars in 2018. He currently holds the record for being the only person ever to have won both awards.
While the Unnamed Collection won’t be available in bars or stores, anyone wanting to sample some of the brand’s other creations, including their Amaro, Vermouth, and Fernet can shop online at the Asterley Bros website, or visit an approved local stockist.
