Bespoke holiday park operator, Verdant Leisure has been recognised by Best Companies as the 13th Best Company to Work for in the UK.
Over the past year, Verdant Leisure has increased investment in training and development across all ten holiday parks and its Lancaster based head office. A commitment to outstanding customer service remains at the core of the company’s values.
The company’s commitment to staff training and wellbeing saw the holiday park operator awarded the 3 Star accreditation by Best Companies in November 2019. Through demonstrating extraordinary levels of workplace engagement, Verdant Leisure achieved the highest position of recognition and confirmed its genuine attitude and values toward employees.
The 3 star certification was awarded after 77% of Verdant Leisure’s employees completed a confidential survey asking them to reflect and comment on their experience with their employer. A sophisticated analysis then measured how engaged employees are at work.
The company has developed an internal brand just for its staff, ‘Team Verdant’, with employees now able to enjoy fantastic offers and discounts from high street stores as well as an annual holiday at one of its parks so that they, and their families, can experience the brand from a customer’s viewpoint. The holiday park operator celebrates and recognises its staff’s achievements through a monthly ‘Verdant Stars’ programme and annual Team Conference.
