Leading fit-out specialist, Portview, has been nominated as a finalist in the Club & Bar Design category of the SBID International Design Awards 2018.

Regarded as one of the most prestigious accolades in the interior design industry, the SBID Awards represent talent and design excellence across all corners of the industry.

Portview‘s fit-out of Club Wembley’s illustrious One Twenty suite beat stiff competition from across the globe to be ranked amongst the top twenty best designed bars and clubs in the world, with entries from Australia, Canada, Taiwan, Ukraine, Dubai, China, Russia, Egypt and more. The winner of the Club & Bar Design category will be decided by a public vote which is open until Friday 24 August.

Managing Director of Portview, Simon Campbell said: “This is the second consecutive year that we have been shortlisted for the SBID Awards, which is a fantastic endorsement of our work. This is a new category for us and we’re thrilled to be recognised for our achievements in the stadia sector where we have experienced substantial market growth, with four the UK’s largest football stadiums under our belt – in addition to tennis arenas and rugby stadiums.”

One Twenty is a new exclusive members’ club within Club Wembley at England’s National Stadium. As the most prestigious club in Wembley Stadium, the One Twenty suite is a new point of reference in quality and service where guests can revel in a completely new experience.

Simon Campbell continued: “We pride ourselves in the quality of our craftsmanship and our obsession for delivering world-class projects that surprize and delight audiences. We couldn’t do this without our talented team who more often than not go over and beyond what is required to achieve exceptional results for our clients.

“One Twenty has definitely been a career highlight for many of us in Portview, given Wembley Stadium’s extraordinary history and reputation for being one of the most iconic entertainment venues in the world.

“Every touchpoint in the interior has been carefully crafted by our team to exude a real sense of exclusivity with high quality finishes, fine joinery detailing, contemporary furniture upholstered in fine fabrics, and bespoke feature lighting.

“Not only is it a one of a kind project, but it’s an entirely unique space that has never been seen in sport or anywhere across the world, and that’s something we’re exceptionally proud of.”

Founder and CEO of SBID, Dr Vanessa Brady OBE says: “We have had an overwhelming number of entries this year from more countries than in previous, the calibre of finalists across all 14 categories, is a true reflection of the creative scope of the global design industry, depicting an international portfolio of projects from over 42 countries worldwide.”

The public are now invited to cast their votes for their favourite entries at www.sbidawards.com, as their votes will contribute towards the overall results. Last year, the awards received over 100,000 unique voters during the voting period.
