Martha Ortiz, famed Chef Patron of the acclaimed modern Mexican restaurant, Ella Canta, has unveiled her newest and most sumptuous creation yet – Mexican Seduction, a stunning and sensual six course tasting menu, to mark El Día de San Valentín.
Renowned for her innovative culinary masterpieces, Martha’s newest menu has been created to seduce guests through a series of strikingly captivating dishes, each of which tells their own unique love story.
Martha has also drawn inspiration from the Mexican celebrations of El Dia del Amor y la Amistad (The day of Friendship and Love) when towns are painted red throughout the month of February, with balloons, roses and hearts scattered across the streets. Each of her elegant dishes brings this Mexican spirit to life, using bold flavours and stunning splashes of striking reds woven through each course.
The six-course menu is an array of authentic Mexican flavours with Martha Ortiz’s signature modern twist. Designed to make the senses sing, the experience begins with a quintessential aphrodisiac Ostiones con cebolla morada encurtida y limon, a rich oyster dish served with pickled red onion and lime. The menu also features Pescado con adobo de guajillo y endivias rojas, red snapper with guajillo adobo, red raddichio and hummus and finishes with indulgent Tamal dulce de chocolate con helado de cereza, a sweet chocolate tamal with cherry ice cream.
Alongside the tasting menu, guests can also enjoy alluring Mexican Seduction cocktails, including The Flower Prince, named after the god of love, beauty dance, pleasure and flowers. This citrusy cocktail is a mix of Cazcabel, 1800 Resposado infused pink peppercorn, lemon, cantaloupe and egg whites.
